JJ Haaga is an independent musician based in Bend, Oregon. His instrumental music brings together surf rock, reverb guitar and Western twang, drawing on Pacific coast roads and the high desert.

On the four-track EP Between Places, released August 23, 2026, he wrote, played and home-recorded the guitar, bass and drums. The focus track, AE86, is inspired by Initial D. The EP also includes Pacific Static, Afterburn and Silver Dollar Road.

His other project, Desert Sky Drifters, explores dark Americana and narrative Western songs.
